GLFx South Coast Guatemala and GLFx Espinal Córdoba shared local experiences on Twitter Space

Last Wednesday, October 19th, Luis Reyes and Maria Andrea Bolaños from the GLFx South Coast Guatemala team participated in a "Twitter Space" organized by the Global Landscapes Forum, in which the chapter was made known. Guatemalan, which is an initiative of the Private Institute for Climate Change Research (ICC), the National Institute of Forests (INAB) and the International Union of Forestry Research Institutes (IUFRO).

Analí Bustos, who works on the Monte Alegre Nature Reserve project and GLFx Espinal Córdoba from Argentina, also participated in the space. In this virtual conversation, the representatives of both chapters were able to share their local experiences and publicize the challenges of landscape restoration in both countries, in addition to describing them and naming the causes of their degradation.

This session is part of the road to the GLF Climate conference, which brings together thousands of leaders from around the world who are fighting the climate crisis. GLFx South Coast Guatemala y GLFx Espinal Córdoba compartieron experiencias locales en un conversatorio virtual en Twitter

El pasado miércoles 19 de octubre el Ingeniero Luis Reyes y la Bióloga Maria Andrea Bolaños del equipo de GLFx South Coast Guatemala participaron en un “Twitter Space” organizado por el Global Landscapes Forum, en el que se pudo dar a conocer un poco más el semillero guatemalteco, el cual es una iniciativa del Instituto Privado de Investigación sobre Cambio Climático (ICC), el Instituto Nacional de Bosques (INAB) y la Unión Internacional de Institutos de Investigación Forestal (IUFRO).

En el espacio también se tuvo la participación de la Bióloga Analí Bustos, quien trabaja en el proyecto Reserva Natural Monte Alegre y GLFx Espinal Córdoba de Argentina. En este conversatorio virtual, los representantes de ambos semilleros pudieron compartir sus experiencias locales y dar a conocer los retos que suponen la restauración de los paisajes en ambos países, además de describirlos y nombrar las causas de su degradación.

Esta sesión forma parte del camino hacia la conferencia GLF Climate, la cual reúne a miles de líderes de todo el mundo quienes luchan contra la crisis climática.
